Tirzepatide Weight Loss Injections
Tirzepatide is a subcutaneous injectable that can aid in weight loss. The first treatment of its kind to combine a glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist, tirzepatide has been shown to significantly aid in the regulation of glucose, appetite, and metabolic energy. Originally FDA-approved in 2022 to treat type 2 diabetes, tirzepatide has also benefited patients who struggle with obesity. In fact, patients who undergo these injections can lose up to 22.5% of their body weight (or about 52 pounds) on average.
Tirzepatide is generally administered once a week. For best results, we recommend tirzepatide act as a supplement to other weight loss methods — in other words, patients are encouraged to follow a healthy lifestyle while taking tirzepatide.
